From Britain, and from a distant galaxy, electronic music in the
beginning of the '90s was for the cults who still believed in
Kraftwerk. That is, until this album came out. Pioneering all that
is spacey and trippy, Mezzanine is widely considered the most important
album of its genre - for turning on fans to electronica and for turning
off just as many who had never heard of anything like it before. The music is
as ominous as it is beautiful; so save this for a ride through all that is
murky and dark, like a Black Hole or an Asteroid Belt.
