My Poems Shoot me a note: jaguilar@ufl.edu

wisps of white light
wandered underneath the window’s curtains
together with the whispering winds, while wistful night
sought also to talk of weighty burdens;
soon too, the moon, wishing to move
near the sheets that creased
around two reeling nudes,
began to peak as to see that gleaming new,
unusual hue, which weaned away
from what was natural, doing what only few
could truly choose; all shunned then ran to the sun’s rays,

saying, would you believe,
what happened this past eve:
just like that we’ve being relieved
by crooks who took love to seal their need.
