I first moved from Honduras (Central America) in 1985 when I was five. My parents chose to move because they wanted their children to have a better education.
While I have lived most of my life in the United States, I often miss Honduras for the family we left behind. My grandparents and many of my cousins still live there.
Honduras is surrounded by Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Belize. Although it's considered a third-world country, the Honduran Bay Islands are a major tourist attraction as well as a significant source of income.
The Honduran newspapers are the Diaro Tiempo, Honduras This Week, La Prensa and La Tribuna.Return to top of page
