Dear Diary...
C'est moi!

I know you all are dying to know every little facet of my life. Well, I can't give you that, but here are a few bits of information to soothe your prying tendencies.

  • What is your full name?
  • Amanda Dawn Patton
  • Where were you born?
  • Right here in Gainesville, Florida.
  • What is your major?
  • Public Relations
  • Do you have any siblings?
  • Yes, one of each. Catie is 18 and Patrick is 13.
  • Do you work hard for the money?
  • So hard for it, honey. I'm a Volunteer Coordinator for the Alachua County Housing Authority.
  • Favorite book of all time?
  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
  • Favorite season?
  • Autumn-right when the leaves are changing and there is a hint of chill in the air.
  • Favorite time of day?
  • Dusk, when a ring of purple crowns the tops of trees and the sun changes to an orange or pink.
  • Favorite color?
  • I'm on a big blue kick right now.
  • Favorite smells?
  • Boys, Coffee, Money, and the Glade Plug-In in my kitchen.
  • Favorite Sounds?
  • Cash registers and printing receipts.
  • Favorite foods?
  • Velveeta Shells and Cheese, Rice-A-Roni, and just about anything containing sugar.

  • What is the first thing you think about when you wake up?
  • Where is the snooze button?!
  • What is your dating status?
  • Disgustingly single.
  • Have you ever been in love?
  • No.
  • How many rings before you pick up the phone?
  • Three. Anything before that says you’re too anxious and anything after says you’re too lazy.
  • Do you sleep with a stuffed animal?
  • No, I sleep with a live one.
  • Do you eat the stems of broccoli?
  • I don't eat broccoli, period.
  • What is under your bed?
  • Three suitcases, my 12-string guitar and a few lost socks.
  • If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be?
  • Definitely Elvis. I'm not really a fan, but how cool would it be to say you met Elvis?!
  • What do you want to be when you grow up?
  • A good mom.
  • What was your first car?
  • A 1998 Mazda 626. Nothing says cool like a four-door sedan.
  • If you could go anywhere, where would it be?
  • I have always wanted to go on a safari in Africa and have my picture taken with a native or, maybe, a rhino.
  • Chocolate or Vanilla?
  • Ohhhh, chocolate.
  • Coke or Pepsi?
  • Pepsi
  • Morning person or night person?
  • These days, I'm not much of either. But, if I had to pick, I would say night person.
  • Professor Carlson's class, cool or drool?
  • Most definitely cool!!
  • And finally, what is one thing you want to walk away with after four years of college?
  • I really want to come out with a better defined sense of self. I want to have purpose and meaning in my life. Oh, and I would really, really like to walk away with a husband!
