Explore Scenic Lake Powell

"These moments we're left with may you always remember. These moments are shared by few. There's wind in our hair and there's water in our shoes" - Jimmy Buffett
Rainbow BridgeLake Powell is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Just six hours southeast of Salt Lake City, a giant lake sits in the middle of nowhere and was formed by the creation of the Glen Canyon Dam providing entertainment virtually all year long. Throughout the summer you can see houseboats dotting the water along with people enjoying a variety of water sports including waterskiing, wave running, knee boarding and tubing. Canyon walls provide protection from the extreme heat, and if you're lucky enough, you might even find a stretch of sand to park your boat. If water sports aren't enough to pique your interest, many historical structures are well within hiking distance from the water. Anasazi ruins, petroglyphs, Rainbow Bridge and Hole in the Rock are just some of the fantastic wonders to be explored in the Lake Powell area.
