The rise of the Web has changed the face of media.
Through the Internet, news is now highly accessible, individualized and instantaneous.
The following are links to media sites which I frequent:

Local News
The Independent Florida Alligator -- An independent college daily run by University of Florida students. The site mimes the print edition with added features such as photo essays, online exclusive stories and an entertainment guide.
The Gainesville Sun -- Though by far not one of my favorite papers, the Sun is really the only other source of up-to-date local news.
Tampa Bay Online -- TBO is a conglomerate of The Tampa Tribune, WFLA Channel 8 and Tampa Bay Online. Being from Tampa, I often check this site for news from my hometown. The site also includes the Friday Extra, a very complete entertainment section.

National News
AP Newswire
U-WIRE -- News wire for college journalists.
USA Today
Washington Post -- Has a great local music section, including MP3s from D.C. bands.

Bust -- A fun feminist magazine
Spin -- music/ entertainment magazine
National Geographic
Netculture -- Run by, includes links to articles about popular culture on the Net.
Colors -- Awesome print magazine, neat site, though takes a while to load. Each issue focuses on a specific theme and the design is incredible.
