Love in my Life

Family, Friends and Faith
My love of life springs forth because of how I was raised, who I surround myself with and what I believe.

My Support System

I grew up in Seminole, FL near Tampa Bay. My large family, including a double set of parents, multiple sets of grandparents and three wonderful sisters, all lived in the area, which ensured that I always had someone to care for me when I was sick, listen to me when I wanted to talk (which was quite often), and plenty of encouragement in my dreams.

Who are they?
Ann - Mom, An amazing woman who can do just about everything.
Richard - Dad, Loving father who shared and instilled in me a strong love of nature.
Mary Dawn-Stepmother, A creative spirit who is not afraid to ask the tough questions of life.
Steven-Stepfather, Master woodsman and popcorn chef extrordinaire.
Jennifer-Oldest sister, lives in Orlando, FL where she is studying to become a chef.
Jordan-Little sister, Always on the go in the family jalopy, Sally.
Adrianne, Littlest sister and "twin", who keeps the family laughing with her drama style.

A Testament to Love
My family is the best. Although we have our hard times, I would rather be "at home" than anywhere else in the world because of the love I find there.

I have been blessed throughout my life with an abundance of friends who listen, give advice, share the good times and the bad, and attempt to keep me in line. Going to college teaches you a lot about friends, who you will keep in touch with and who drifts away. No matter the duration of the friendship, many people have left footprints on my heart, changing who I am forever.

A Friendship Poem for a Lifetime

"Make new friends, but keep the old
One is Silver and the other Gold
A Ring is round, it has no end
That's how long I want to be your friend."

A Special Thanks
To all of my friends who put up with me and encourage me to the best I can be, thank you for your love and friendship, especially you Gilligan.

Church Background
I started attending church in middle school when I was confirmed and baptized. Much of my character development and self-discovery occurred in some type of youth program at Anona United Methodist Church where I also worked with the children's choirs as a cheoreographer and this past summer as an assistant youth director. At school, I attend the University United Methodist Church where I sing with the Maranatha College Choir. The UUMC has become my family in Gainesville.

Personal Beliefs
I believe the presence of an amazing God is irrefutable in the face of the amazing creation in this world; nature convicts me of a higher being. I believe God has given us a love greater than any human, and a spirit to guides us if we will seek it. Spiritual discovery has been a journey for me these last few years. It is a journey I believe everyone must take no matter how frustrating or long because you cannot blindly believe. You must believe with your whole being.

A Few Scriptures to Think About
Matt. 12:34 - For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
Gal. 6:9 - Do not be deceived, God will not be mocked, for whatever a person sows, that he will also reap.
Tim. 1:7 - For God did not give us a spirit of timidity , but a spirit of power and love and self-control.
Eccl. 3:11b - He has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
