Personal Aspirations Travel Home Me while diving in Panama

In my first semester of college in fall 2004, I enrolled in the Open Water NAUI Certification program offered through the University of Florida Academic Diving Program. The following semester of spring 2005, I became Advanced certified. Between then to now, I have dove in:

Me on the dive boat in Cozumel, Mexico

This semester, spring 2007, I am a Divemaster Candidate along only with eight other people. I accompanied the Advanced class on their certification trip to Key Largo this past March and had an opportunity to lead three students on their dive. We went on a total of four dives, two at night, a deep dive, and a navigation dive. On the deep dive, I took them 97 feet down to Spiegel Grove, a wreck which spans 510 feet and is the largest purposely sunk ship in the world. Upon completion, I will be able to work on a charter dive boat and lead certified divers. During Spring Break, I will be flying down to Freeport, Bahamas, with my parents and hope to dive down there as well.
