Danny Rolling Story

A Killers End

On Oct. 25, 2006, Danny Rolling was executed at the Florida State Prison. Sixteen years after he killed 8 students in Gainesville, Fla., Rolling was executed on charges of murder. No one knew that after Rolling turned himself in there would be 16 years of sentencing and appeals to follow. On Oct. 25, the emotions that ran outside the prison walls were one of stark contrast. Within an arms distance of each other, separated only by yellow police tape, protestors against the death penalty stood with those in support of Rolling's death.
