Where have I been?
My father and I set a goal when I was younger. We would travel to all 50 states. So far, I have been to 35 of them. I also want to travel to every continent. I have been to all of them except South America and Antarctica. My favorite part about traveling - especially in a different country - is the different cultures and traditions that the people there have.
Egypt: During my senior year of high school, I travelled to Egypt. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Not only did I go inside of a pyramid, but I also went on a cruise down the Nile River. One of the Egyptians even offered to buy me for camels ( he was kidding - I hope!)
New Zealand/Australia: This was another trip that I took during high school with my peers and some teachers. Although the flight was painfully long (17 hours with connecting flights), it was worth it. I fed a kangaroo and a koala bear, went on the steepest train ride and went to an ice bar. I helped cook a traditional feast with New Zealand aborigines. And of course, I visited the Sydney Opera House and snorkeled at the Great Barrier Reef!
Seattle, Washington: I took this trip with my family. I hiked a mountain, took a ghost tour and went to the space needle. Although it isn't as exotic as the other two, this trip was great because it was one of the last trips I took with my family.
During all of those trips I learned so much about the places and the people who lived there.
