HOBBIES: CREATIVE WRITING

I remember the first time I read an Enid Blyton book on the cat with no whiskers and the dog with no tail. A few days later, I grabbed a piece of paper and wrote my first short story on the hare with no ears, or something on those lines.

“Once upon, there was a girl who never laughed. She would cry, shout but refused to laugh. One day, a pixie fairy came to her school with the intense mission to make her chuckle, even just once.”

My love for storytelling thus began. I would create storylines with my dolls as the characters. I would sit in front of my mom’s large dressing mirror, with me as the narrator and the listener.

I haven’t written a story in a while - sort of branched into journalism - but my love for writing remains. I plan to get involved in the Nanowrimo (Novel Writing Month, which aims to have people to write 50,000 words in a month) this November to get things rolling. Till then, wish me non-writers block.
