My name is Li Linghao and I'm a second-year graduate student in College of Journalism and Communications at University of Florida. You are more than welcome to check out my resume.
I was born and raised in a provincial city called Taiyuan in China. It's not a very interesting city, and most people only know it because of its rich coal resources and the fact that there live a lot of wealthy mine owners. I spent the first 19 years of my life there with my family and friends. Then I went to college in Beijing, a much bigger, more international city, which, even till now, I still consider as my favorite city in the world. I'll talk more about Beijing on the Travel Tips page.
I decided to choose International/Intercultural Communication as my major in this college because I have so much passion in learning different cultures and making friends with people from all around the world. My biggest dream is to travel to as many places as possible, although it doesn't seem practical for me at the moment, given that I'm still in school and I don't have much money. My international traveling experience includes France, Germany, Italy, Japan and South Korea. Right now I'm trying to make the best out of my stay here in America. So far I've been to Florida, California and New York, and am looking forward to checking out Seattle, Vegas, Boston... You name it. Hey, you are more than welcome to join me!
I interned at Ogilvy Beijing in the past summer. First time being in the corporate world was both exciting and challenging, and that was when I decided that I wasn't going for a PhD when I graduate. There's just so much to see and learn outside of campus. Now I want to work for a few years and then decide whether I want to come back to academia. For my graduate project, I'm building a Cross Cultural Training website for US expatriates who are starting their life in China and have no idea what the culture is like.
