Hi! Welcome to my page! My name is Perri and I am from New York. There are plenty of things that you can learn about me from my resume, but there's even more about me that you can't tell. For starters, I love music. I've been obsessed with rap music since I was in middle school. It may seem outlandish that a sweet, young girl could have such a passion for rap music, but I think it's extremely expressive and representative of real events in the world.
Another thing that makes me unique is my love for sports. Although I may not be the best athlete, I love watching the NBA! I've been a diehard Los Angeles Lakers fan since I was in 4th grade, and win or lose, they always have my heart. I know what you're thinking, from New York and not a Knicks fan?! But it was something about those striking purple and gold colors that got me hooked at such a young age; oh and my Lakers-crazed uncle from L.A.!
I am a very active member of my sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon. I am currently the New Member Educator, which means I am in charge of the new members from the Spring and Fall 2012 pledge classes. For the past year, I have been a member of the executive board. This means I contribute to all decisions made regarding the sorority.
In the spring semester of 2013, I plan on studying in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the University of Belgrano. I cannot wait to explore a new culture and expand my academics from a different, Latin American perspective!
I have a younger brother, Daniel, who is a Freshman at the State University of New York at New Paltz, (half of his face is in the image to the right)! I have a dog at home named Phoebe, and she's a mutt; a mix of a border collie and a chocolate lab, she's adorable!
My passion for journalism began in 8th grade, when my English teacher started instilling the intense rules of grammar in each of our young brains! I never really executed my knowledge and passion until I went to high school and applied to be in the Yearbook Club. For four years, I explored and developed skills of design, editing, and writing within my life and work.
