Internships and Experience
During my junior year at UF, I wrote for Gainesville Activities. This internship provided me with the perfect tools for building relationships in the community. At least twice a month, the writers were sent out to various community events and activities to capture what fun can really be had in Gainesville. Pictured below is one of the animals I was given the opportunity to frolic with while writing for this online guide for adventure seekers in Gainesville.
While at the university, I also had the opportunity to tutor student's in the Communications Coaching Center as a tutor for the Journalism and Communications Ambassadors. In this lab, I edited student's papers for Reporting and Writing for Mass Communication. Working in the lab taught me how to work efficiently under pressure, while maintaining the quality of the writer's work. The CCC is always crowded, and there are always people depending on my editing skills to improve their grades in one of the toughest classes offered in the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida.
