What do I read?
It would be difficult for me to begin a list of my favorite books by starting with anything other than the Bible. While I am not the type of person to preach at others or force my opinions on them, my faith is something that is very important to me.
I became a believer my senior year of high school, and while I am constantly failing to live in the image of Jesus Christ, it is something I strive to do everyday. The Bible is where I go to hear the word of God. Some people see it as simply a flawed book that is outdated and beyond reason, but I see it as a guide on how to live life.
One of my favorite verses is 1 John 4:4. In that verse, God talks to the people and tells the believers to have no fear, for the one that is in them is greater than the one that is in the world, meaning having God in your heart is greater than anything the world can throw at you. That is something I try to remember whenever I am feeling overwhelmed.
My sophomore year of college, I led a Bible study at the University of Florida Baptist Collegiate Ministries.
