"Tell me who admires you and loves you, and I will tell you who you are."
- Charles Augustin Sainte-Beauve

My daddy, Anselm Smith, would refuse to wear anything but a beat-up pair of classic Reeboks that were literally older than me. His frugality on this issue only showed how inept he is to fashion. He always told me that you only need two pairs of shoes: a black pair and a white pair because they match with everything. Who would have thought he would raise a daughter that loves shoes. I guess that shoe-loving gene came from my mother, Pascuala Smith, a woman who has at least six pair of black shoes. Six pair? You need about six pair to cover all the different styles and shades of black. My sister, Naomi, who is one year and eleven months younger than me (she hates when I call her my little sister), prefers a stiletto to platform or stacked heels. Stilettos give your legs a sexy silhouette(just a hint to all the ladies). My little brother, Aka, only wears athletic shoes. A boot, however, might suit him well. My boyfriend, Robert Cromartie, complains about how many shoes I have but this comes from a man who owned about ten pairs of white high top Air-Force1s.
