If you love modern art, you must visit the Centre Pompidou. It was recently renovated and re-opened in 2000, after bieng closed over two years. It was designed by Renzo Piano and Richard Rodgers, originally opening in 1977.

Even if you are not a fan of modern art, you will still appreciate the glass facade, external stairs and different colored external pipes. Housing more than 45,000 works, including many from such well known artists as Chagall, Matisse, Picasso, Andy Warhol,Klee, Kandisky and many others. It also contains a library, a bookshop,a cafe, a movie theater and a panoramic terrace.

For those traveling on a budget, it is still possible to take in all the sights that Paris has to offer. Museums offer severly discounted admission prices on certain days of the week and for those wishing to take in the works of art without all those other annoying tourists, many have extended viewing hours one day a week.
