The colorful Casa Batllo is an apartment building that was renovated by the famous spanish architect, Antoni Gaudi from 1904 to 1906. The facade is covered by mosaics in vivid colors and iron balconies in the form of masks. The columns framing the windows on the first floor resemble human bones. There are no edges or corners on the buliding. The Casa Batllo is privately owned and closed to the general public. In any case it is still worth checking out.

The construction of the Sagrada Familia began in 1882, and one year later Antoni Gaudi was appointed project director. He worked on the project for forty years, until his death in 1926. Private donations are the only funding used to build the Sagrada Familia and that is why it has taken so long to complete. Entrance includes access inside the Temple where construction is going on daily and and a museum depicting the past, present and future of the Temple. It is to be completed in 2050.
