Avery Brooke Hasko was born on October 29, 2003 at 4 p.m. at North Florida Regional Medical Center.
She weighed 7lb. 10oz. and was 20.5 inches long.
She had big blue eyes and a full head of brown hair.
My water broke at 4 a.m. and thatís when we began to get everything together to go to the hospital.
It probably took us about an hour to pack up the car. I wasnít in any pain and we were very excited.
Iíll spare the details, but 12 hours later Avery was here.
The hospital where she was born, North Florida Regional Medical Center, was very nice.
The room looked like a hotel room, with wood floors with a view of the lake.
We had a great nurse named Brandy. The doctor that I had been seeing, Dr. Muskus, was operating,
so he wasnít there to deliver her. I didnít like the doctor that actually performed the delivery,
but the end result, a perfect baby, was the same.
We stayed at the hospital for two days. A lot of friends and family came to visit.
I quickly said goodbye to my nights of nine-hour sleep.
On October 31, we returned to our house with our tiny baby, after making a stop at Regal Cinemas to show her off.
Since I wasnít prepared for a baby to be here on Halloween, she was due November 3, I didnít have a costume ready.
We found a Care Bears outfit that had a hat with ears in her drawer and that was her first Halloween costume.
We took her trick-or-treating to the neighborís house across the street.
