This four-man band was discovered by the late Brad Nowell, who signed Slightly Stoopid to his own record label Skunk Records in 1995. Since signing with Skunk, the band has released two full-length albums under Skunk; 1996ís Slightly Stoopid and 1998ís Longest Barrel Ride, one full-length album under Southern California Independent Surfdog Records; 2003ís Everything You Need and one live album which was recorded during a radio show and released on their own label, Stoopid Records. Slightly Stoopid is also featured in many surf/skate/snowboard videos as well as on ESPNís X-Games and Fox sports shows.
Dual frontmen Kyle McDonald and Miles Doughty create a unique harmony, sharing the roles of vocals, guitar and bass. Drummer Ryan Morgan and percussion O.G. tie the band together to create a sound with distinctive influences but entirely new.
To date, Slightly Stoopid has performed over 500 shows, headlining many, and opening for Sublime, Long Beach Dub Allstars, G-Love & Special Sauce, Blink-182, 311, and Pennywise. Slightly Stoopid will headline the Sprite Liquid Mix Tour until Thanksgiving and then plans to head on tour to Hawaii, Japan and Australia, where a huge underground fan following awaits.
