LTA IS THE ONLY WAY!
When I first came to UF, I knew sororities were not for me.
I knew that I did not want to buy my friends. I did not like the idea of cliques. But all of that changed when I met Laura and we went to our first informational of Lambda Theta Alpha, Latin Sorority, Inc. LTA is the first Latin or multicultural sorority in the United States, established in 1975.
Amidst protest and war, 17 illustrious founding mothers of diverse backgrounds at Kean University made history by founding Lambda Theta Alpha. Over 28 years later, LTA has grown to include chapters across of the nation and in Puerto Rico. The Notorious Chi Chapter was established here at UF on March 17, 1996 by nine founding sisters. With much hard work and dedication, my chapter has made a huge impact on this campus. We are a true family of diverse, talented ladies.
This year we were awarded several honors including 2003 National Undergraduate Chapter of the Year by the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations.
