Puerto Rico

Ian & Megan at the Fort

Old San Juan

This is my first trip to Puerto Rico. My brother let me tag along with his business partners for a two week vacation in December 2000. During our stay, Old San Juan was one of our favorite hang-outs. The fort atop the cliffs is breathtaking. You can see the coast for miles.

Old San Juan also had charming cobblestone streets lined with shops, cafes and bars. However, the real action was in the casinos. We danced our way into the New Millennium at a local casino's club.

Me on the Fort

We also did several things outside San Juan. We hiked through El Yunque Rainforest to the waterfalls and spent a day on a catamaran snorkeling at different reefs. We also visited the Bacardi Rum Factory. Who would visit Puerto Rico without testing the local spirits?
