"The March of the Living is the strongest protest
of Jewish youth all over the world against the denial
of the Holocaust. These young people will be the bridge
between the survivors and the next generation,"
Avraham Hirchson MK, MOL Founder and President.|
Since it was founded in 1988, thousands of teens from all over the world have gathered numerous times to embark in an educational, life-changing program called the March of the Living . This organized trip to Poland and Israel commemorates the six million Jewish people that were murdered by the Nazis during World War II and celebrates the birth of a Jewish nation. While the Jews were marching to their death during the Holocaust , thousands of international teens travel the path towards life during the March of the Living on Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Memorial Day. After visiting various concentration camps in Poland, Israel welcomes the marchers to observe Yom HaZikaron, Israel Memorial Day, and celebrate Yom Ha'Atzmaut, Israel Independence Day. This is my experience amongst the thousands of the March of the Living 2000.
