My deep passion for writing has led me to pursue a media career. I have held an internship at The Orlando Sentinel and have worked at The Independent Florida Alligator since my first day at the University of Florida.

Both work places have given me invaluable experience and have futher fostered my desire to be involved in the evolution of communication technology. While I do want to attend law school, it is only to support my media career. No matter what path I take, I always want to be writing.

The provided writing samples come from my writing work at the Alligator. No work from this semester is posted because I currently hold the position of news editor. The position has given me a new perspective on how a newspaper is managed and has given me the opportunity to share my enthusiasm for the business with other writers. However, the position also means stepping back from the reporting process and being a coach for reporters.
