During the summer of 2001, I had the opportunity to work as an intern at the FOX News Channel in New York City. I was an intern for "Entertainment Coast to Coast," which is the channel's weekly show on movies and celebrities. My job was to pull video clips for the show, do research on topics that were going to be on the show and to help write the weekly quiz question for the show. On Thursday of each week, I got to go into the control room and watch the show being taped. It was such a great experience to see how a television show is created from start to finish.
While I was living in New York for the month I got to do a lot of sightseeing. I went and saw "Phantom of the Opera", "42nd Street" and "Chicago" on Broadway. I even got to see Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane and Sarah Jessica Parker as they were leaving "The Producers". My family and friends and I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Natural History and the Planetarium, South Street Seaport, Washington Square Park, and Central Park. I tried to visit as many sights as possible while I was there.
