Hi, My name is Elizabeth Smith. I am a public relations senior at the University of Florida.I was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1979, but I've spent most of my life in Jacksonville Beach.

I am not much of a believer in astrology but sometimes I like the coincidences in the descriptions of my astrological sign and my personality. I chose the lion to be my logo for this reason. Although I claim to not be much of a believer, I check my horoscope everyday.

I wasn't much of a fan of high school. After the final attempt at the third high school I had attended, I decided to drop out and get my GED. My family, who knows me best, was supportive because they knew I would graduate from college. My friends, on the other hand, were worried. They were so worried that I would become the typical high school dropout that it became my life mission to prove them wrong. Not only did I want to prove them wrong, but I wanted to finish college before them. Two years later I had an Associate in Arts degree from Florida Community College at Jacksonville. Two years after that I am a senior at one of the best colleges in the nation.

I love Gainesville. I have had the luck of the drawl with roommates. Currently I have two wonderful roommies (as I affectionatly call them) Haven and Sasha. I think it is really important for college students to get the "college town" atmosphere while going to college. Living here with wonderful roommates and friends that care about school and having fun is sometimes undescribable. I'll tell you more about "Hogtown" and the wonders of Gator Game Days on the Game Day section of this site.
