Scotland was intensely green with dark gray castles towering over the countryside. The people there take pride in the legendary tales of their heritage.
This is a picture of the William Wallace Monument. It was quite a hike to the top, but the view from there was amazing. Everyone was pretty amused by the Mel Gibson "Brave heart" statue at the bottom of the hill.
This is me, our lowlander guide (kilt included) and my roommate Jenn at Edinburgh Castle. He gave us a fascinating tour of the castle. He was definitely one of the highlights of the entire tour.
