CAMIL DOCUMENTARY



Scott Camil served two tours in Vietnam and recieved eleven medals, including two purple hearts.

When he returned from Vietnam, he began to question the neccesity of the war. After particpating in the film "Winter Soldier Investigation", which was testimony of many Vietnam Vets about the war, Scott helped create the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW).

Eight members of the VVAW (including Scott) were arrested for conspiracy to disrupt the 1972 Republican Convention. They were known as the "Gainesville 8".

Even after presenting no defense at trial, the jury found the Gainesville 8

not guilty.

Scott has fought many other battles for freedom, and is still active today
