Schools have been accepting corporate propaganda for a long time. Thirty years ago it was free book covers with advertisements, ten years ago it was Pepsi and Coke battling it out for the stadium scoreboad and vending machine, but today it is something more.

When it comes to marketing to kids, corporations have a simple strategy.

They enlist the child as an agent in prying money away from mom and dad.

There are many ways advertisements have invaded our public schools, the worse being Channel One, the provider of "free" television.


I sure hope a six year old child can distinguish between education and advertising recieved at their public school.
