Jewel in the Making

Education Waves

I have been an active member of my academic career. I have particapated in the AE; Academy of Entrepreneurship/Junior Achievement, from 1994 till 1998 while attending F.W. Buchholz High School, Gainesville, Fla. The Academy of Entrepreneurship is a program that covers the following courses: Principles of Entrepreneurship, Business Management, Business Law and Business Ownership. I also particpated in FBLA; Future Business Leaders of America. I maintained a 3.5 in the Academy. Also AE, I was a Public Relations Officer, member of Sales and Inventory Committee. I had an impeccable reputation of being tops in sales. (If necessary, I could sell toothpicks to trees.)

In the summer of 1998, I participated in SFCC's College Achievement Program and earned a two year scholarship. CAP is a six-week summer academic enrichment program designed to equip selected high school graduates with the necessary skills to meet college entrance requirements.

I began Santa Fe Community College, Gainesville, Fla. in August 1998. Graduated from SFCC in December 2000 with 61 credict hours carrying a 2.58 grade point average. In January 2001, I began my first semester as an official University of Florida Gator. As mentioned before, I am a public relations major, and so far so good. Yes, there have been some crazy times but my mission still stands strong.

In order to fulfill my mission as an entrepreneur, it is essential that I succeed as an effective communicator. I understand my academic responsibilities. My goal is to sustain a positive sense of identity within my heart, mind, and soul, to eliminate "I can't"; doubt, to put forth my best efforts to expand proficiency. Day by day it is imperative that the words of my mouth be in correspondence with the mediations of my heart.

God has blessed me with leadership qualities, willingness and the ability to delegate responsibility, as well as share the load. Leaders must have a firm sense of self-esteem and faithfulness to the characteristics of their personalities. Success is not an issue; it is the conclusion that is automatically drawn if taken at the correct approach.
