Born in 1981, I spent the first 18 years of my life in Pembroke Pines, a typical, sprawling South Florida "community." A happy childhood was followed by contented adolescent and teenage years. My parents encouraged me not to get a job in high school. They insisted I concentrate on my studies, and look where it got me!

Since graduating high school, I have held a steady stream of rewarding positions at distinguished institutions such as the University of Florida, Sound Advice, and Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. Currently, I work at UF's Bureau of Economic and Business Research (aka the Survey Lab). Shifts at the lab breeze by and the pay is decent. I assure anxious respondents that I am "not trying to sell them anything" and that the surveys we conduct are very important to the state of Florida. My vocal cords are stronger than ever before.
