About Me

Stephen and Bethany

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

I think the above quote (Abe, again) sums me up pretty well. However, I'm reminded of another Lincoln quote: "To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men."

I've also compiled a few PHOTOS of myself that you may enjoy.

A Short Biography

Since I was very young I aspired to attend school in Gainesville at the University of Florida. It didn't work out during my undergraduate years, but I am happy to finally be an official Gator. I attended my first University of Florida football game when I was six years old and was hooked. Since then, I've attended nearly every home football game and most away games, and personally witnessed the Gators win their first National Championship in New Orleans in 1996. Additionally, I've been to every SEC Championship Game the Gators played in and was in the Swamp when the Gators won their first official SEC Championship against Kentucky. Very few things get my blood pumping like a Saturday in the Swamp.

I grew up in Kissimmee, Florida, but spent a great deal of time a little further south in Lake Wales where we have a house on Lake Walk-in-Water. My dad is from a nearby city named Frostproof. We also own orange groves around Lake Wales. Living in Kissimmee has its advantages in addition to Florida weather. Growing up, I never lived more than 20 minutes from Disney World, which provided me with numerous fun summer jobs including running a cash register that regularly collected more than $30,000.00 per day. I think I was earning about $6.00 per hour.

I attended a two-year college in Temple Terrace, Florida (near Tampa) and had the most fun I've ever had (and my grades showed it!). After graduating--er, getting out--I braved the cold and completed my undergraduate degree in Bowling Green, Kentucky at Western Kentucky University. Their nickname is "Hilltoppers" (I'm serious) and the mascot is "Big Red" (which is, literally, a big red blob of fur).

I could go on and on, but I'll end by telling you that I enjoy playing all sports, especially football, basketball and softball. I also like billiards and ping pong and enjoy skiing and fishing. Anything outside is good!
