Working Title: Good Behavior
In the United States, there are over 2 million people incarcerated and over 4 million on parole or probation. Good Behavior is a story about the challenges of re-building a life after release from prison.
This 30-minute documentary is currently being shot on digital video.
Ashanti Allen is a co-producer. She is the researcher and interviewer. She is also designing the website.
Won-Hwan Oh is a co-producer. He is the photographer and responsible for technical aspects of the film.

Importance of Topic
- This is a true story about what happens after prison. Police chases, courtroom scenes and prison dramas are commonplace on television. This is the untold story of what happens after.
- An individual who has been through the system has a unique perspective on it. The issues of crime and criminal justice are constantly present in our media and our political debate. However, the voice of the ex-convict often goes unheard.
- What can the experience of prisoners teach us about the meaning of freedom? Surely freedom is more complex than walking through a set of gates.
- Incarceration, parole and probation affect millions of families in this country.
