All About Me
I was born on July 2, 1977 in the small town of Live Oak, Florida. This county seat in Suwannee County has a great and wonderful history that all started as a stopping place for passengers of the railroad. I have lived in this beautiful town all of my life and have a desire and love for it like many citizens that live here. It is neat to travel and see how many people have heard of the Suwannee River and know something or someone from our county. I know I will not live there forever, but I do know no matter where I go I will always know the true place I call home. If there are any questions just check out the web page of the Suwannee River Water Management District. There are good diverse sources of information on the Suwannee River and all it's surroundings.
I had the honor of serving my county as Miss Suwannee County 1999. I was able to share with others the rich history and heritage of our beloved county. I spent time with the community and all citizens within it. I spoke with the elementary children and civitan groups. I participated in parades, ribbon cuttings and annual events. I truly feel that I have contributed to the lives that have given me my southern heritage and pride. I can only hope that they feel the same.
There have been many people and organizations that have contributed greatly to my life. I have been involved in The National FFA Organization for the past seven years. It has taught me about premier leadership, personal growth and career development through agricultural education. The FFA helped me decide which career path to follow. This great organization helped me develop the speaking and people skills I need to be a success. I have gained so much knowledge and so many memories that I will share for a life-time.
