My friends are truly my other family.

I'm lucky enough to still maintain my best friends from high school and even luckier to have made great friends here at UF, too.

My best friends here at school, my roommates, have really filled the void of my family. Without them, college definitely wouldn't be the same.

The photo to the right is from an idea some of my roommates and friends had to paint ourselves for the homecoming game against LSU. We figure it was our effort to ensure a victory. It worked!

In high school, my five best friends and I thought it would be clever to call ourselves the ATEAM, for the first initial of each of our names.

Since then, we've been sprawled out across the state, and even in New York!

It's difficult to keep in touch as much as you once did, but reunions and two-hour phone conversations "just to catch up" always make up for it.

In the photo above, we were reunited in Orlando.
