Here are a few travel tips...
Keep these tips in mind while visiting the U.S. Virgin Islands:
- You do not need a passport to travel to any of the three U.S. Virgin Islands if you are a U.S. Citizen, but you must show proof of citizenship when leaving(a photo ID and a birth certificate). You will need a passport and a birth certificate if you plan to visit any other nearby islands including the British Virgin Islands.
- Remeber if you plan to drive on any of the islands to drive on the left-hand side of the road. Most rental cars have large stickers posted inside to remind visitors to always drive on the left.
- Watch for animals on the side of the road while driving including donkeys, chickens, pigs, goats and cows.
- The official language in English and the currency is the U.S. dollar.
- Check out Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas for great shopping from designer to outdoor markets.
- Have fun!
