"Everything in its right place" - 2007 Miami
This fleeting moment was captured in January of 2007 while in Miami on an assignment.
Satori Wheel Movment and Yellow Brand Skateboards was touring Florida and they invited me along to document the usual schenanigans.
We were skating an abandoned spot in the impovershed outskirts of downtown Miami on a gorgeous afternoon and everyone was ripping and just having a good time.
I usually shoot digital but decided to take out my old 35mm, just to see how the colors developed. I snapped only one frame.
To me, it represents a moment in time that is incapable of being duplicated. Any other compostion, light or moment wouldn't have the same aesthetic of this purely candid piece of perfection.
