This piece was written as a class project in 2007. Each person was given a specific topic to write about. This was my first experience having to write in a specific format for the Web site. We had to be straightforward and use exact wording to keep it from being too long to be published on the Men's Health Web site.

This was my first photograph published at The Independent Alligator. I took this picture at 7 a.m. with a camera that was loaned to me in class. This was my first experience having to photograph the outdoors.

This was my first newsletter I have ever written articles for. This article consisted of outside research, editorial-style writing and identifying what the company needs to know about. It took me about three weeks to write all these articles.

This article was my first and second published with The Gainesville Sun. My target audience was the same for both although the incentive program targeted those who worked out at the gym. The pepper spray article tested my interviewing skills since I was interviewing some of Gainesville's finest. The aerobic instructors, who were commonly students as well, were very willing to answer questions and get the program known around UF.
