I was born in Orlando, Fla., in 1988, and my mother and my father both worked in that very hospital. We lived in Orlando until I was 2 years old, and of course, I don't remember a single thing. In 1990, we moved to Ormond Beach, Fla., where we currently still live. Along with my mom and dad, I have two brothers and we have two dogs: Jack and Kramer.

In 2006, I graduated from Spruce Creek High School, in Port Orange. I attended the International Baccalaureate program and did fairly well. However, as it came time to apply to colleges, I only applied to UF-but didn't get in. I chose instead to pursue an A.A. degree from Santa Fe Community College and in 2007, I achieved my goal. Not being admitted to the University of Florida really helped to motivate me, which I think has benefited me for the future.

I absolutely love sports, especially Gator football. Since high school, I have known that I wanted to be a journalist because of this. One day, I decided since I didn't play, so I might as well completely indulge myself, get to know the athletes, and find great stories and write about them. It would be a dream for me to be a columnist for Sports Illustrated.

Another thing that peeks my interest is traveling. I have been to 30 of the 50 states in the U.S., Haiti, Canada, Italy, and France. Ever since I was really young, my father has taken us on huge road-trips and I cannot thank him enough for it. Since I have been a student in Gainesville, I have been on many road trips of my own, to Atlanta, Oxford, Miss., Auburn, Ala., and even to the Florida Keys. Traveling gives me a piece of mind that I cannot find anywhere else in the world.
