"If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a closed room with a mosquito"-African Proverb
My name is Andrea Alarcon and I am a journalism junior, with a French minor, at the University of Florida. I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia but moved to Weston, Florida when I was about 14.
My passion has always been writing; whether it is short stories, poems or articles, I am most joyous when putting words down on paper. Hopefully, this site will develop into a space where I can publish my writing, for whoever is interested in reading it. I picked my major because I have so many interests that I had to choose something that would allow me to explore them all.
I love traveling, literature, art, history, music, politics, any type of publication, wine, culture and international cuisine (eating it, not cooking it). I am what they call trilingual.
So I am sorry if you find links in this site that take you somewhere you can't read. This site is a reflection of me and well, I think in Spanish, English and French! I know there is a certain egocentricity tied to the idea of a personal Web site. Well, here is the stroke to my ego.
Enjoy!
