So many baby horses are born at the farm each year. It's amazing just how big they are
even though they were just born. My friend's father bought a mare named Gainesville Gal and
this is her adorable baby colt. He was born only a few short days before this photo was taken.
The babies have the longest legs and it's amazing how quickly they learned to use them to run.

Although the staff at Hidden Point take special care to watch the babies, they sometimes
must be left in the barn to keep them from hurting their growing bodies. Often a foal will double in size
within the first few weeks of its life. Sadly, a baby is separated from its mother when it reaches the tender age of 1.
However, while they are at Hidden Point it is a common occurrence to see them running and playing in the fields by their mothers.
