Caribbeanna: Recent Travel - Trinidad
In July of 2003, I traveled to Trinidad to visit my mother’s family. I was able to explore some of the many beautiful costal areas in the northern part of the island: Maracas Bay, Blanchisseuse Bay and Gasparee. Trinidad is located in the Caribbean above the northeastern edge of Venezuela. It is part of the twin-island Republic of Trinidad & Tobago. Trinidad is known world-wide for its annual carnival, deposits of natural gas, and oil and as the birthplace of the steel drum.
