Blanchisseuse Bay faces the Caribbean Sea on Trinidad’s northern coast. My family and I visited a section of the bay known unofficially as “Bagan’s Bay” (the man who originally owned and developed the land).

Outcroppings of rock and groups of coconut trees adorn the beach. Pebbles and small smooth stones gather at the shoreline.The water becomes fairly rough close to shore. It is marked by white froth and waves, but is still okay for swimming and bodysurfing.

The bay gathers a strong breeze. The sound of the wind and waves can be very relaxing. The beach is long enough for a walk and wide enough to set up an umbrella, towel and picnic, etc.
