IN THE BEGINNING...
I was born in Knoxville, Tennessee back in good ol' 1982...I feel sooo old!! My dad was in school at the University of Tennessee at the time (don't hold it against me, but I guess you can say I was born a Volunteer). We than moved to California when I was two years old because he was finishing up his masters at UCal-Berkeley. When he finally finished school, he was offered a job in Ft.Lauderdale so my family and I moved to sunny South Florida by the time I was 3-years-old and I have been living there ever since!
I attended K-5 grades at Bayview Elementary School and then moved onto Sunrise Middle School. I finally attended Ft.Lauderdale Highschool (after what seemed like forever) where I was actively involved on campus. While at FLHS, I served as student body President, Captain of varsity cheerleading and Vice-President of Exchange-ettes Service Club. I also participated in varsity waterpolo, National Honor Society and volunteered at Holy Cross Hospital.
After four years of working my butt off in high school,I was ecstatic when I found out that I got into the University of Florida. GO GATORS!
I'm currently in my third year at UF and I grow to love it more and more each day. I couldn't have picked a better to place to go school. I'm studying Public Relations and hopefully one day, I'll be working at some cool job in entertainment PR.
Here at UF, I'm an active sister in Pi Beta Phi sorority (shout out to all my ANGELS out there!) and I'm a Public Relations intern at the Alligator. So far, my college experience has been a blast and I'll definitely be sad to see it slowly come to an end this time next year!
