Bowie had gone so far into the stratosphere with this album that he had
begun to trick even himself: So caught up in his alter-ego "Ziggy Stardust,”
Bowie started believe he was Ziggy - the true space cadet / protagonist on
this concept album about space, time, spiders from Mars and who knows
what else. The perfect album for space because neither the album or the
cosmos remain solved. A true space oddity, indeed.
