The Internet has made writing and reporting infinitely easier.
With so many resources now online, the need for flipping through musty dictionaries and tattered phonebooks has come to an end.
The following are links to just a few of the online research and writing tools I use:

Search Engines
Dogpile -- Metasearch engine that uses 18 search tools.
Google -- I often get successful hits using this engine.
Yahoo! -- Uses indexes and is helpful if your subject can be easily catagorized.

Reference Materials
MapQuest -- Interactive atlas, allows you to plan trips and find addresses, streets and even buildings.
Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus
Roget's Thesaurus
Encyclopedia Britannica
Refdesk -- Great source for journalists, contains hundreds of links to reference sites. Easily find facts for your stories.
Switchboard -- White and yellow pages, can also search for a name by giving a phone number.

Libraries
UF Library System
Alachua County Library District
Internet Public Library -- Great reference site, leads you to informative databases and Web sites. Very easy to use.
