My Favorite Books

As a kid I was always fascinated with reading. My mom used to get mad at me because I would go through books so fast, and she'd have a hard time keeping me supplied with reading material. In elementary school, I fell in love with author Roald Dahl. His books were so creative and exciting that they inspired me to become a writer as well.

Even if you have no idea who Roald Dahl is, I'm sure you've probably already read many of his books. Some have even been made into major motion pictures. Does Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ring a bell? How about James and the Giant Peach?

In any case, I thank my parents for teaching me the importance of reading at an early age. It just goes to prove that reading to your kids really does work!

My passion for music started at an early age as well. My step-dad owned three radio stations in Northern Michigan. I idolized the DJs, tagged along with my mom on live broadcasts and even recorded commercials.
