I was born on July 23, 1986 to Ron and Lisa Agnello. I have an older sister named Susie. My parents raised my sister and me in a sleepy little town in Northern Michigan called Charlevoix (external link).
My parents divorced when I was 3 years old. Shortly after, they both remarried. I was fortunate to get two step-parents, Cathy and John, who I thoroughly enjoy having in my life. I also inherited two older step-brothers named T.J. and Todd. Despite the negative effects of having my parents divorced, I'm so lucky to have such a big, loving family.
In 1996, I moved to Punta Gorda, Fla. (external link) with my mom, step-dad and sister. At first I was skeptical about living in Florida, but soon I realized just how wonderful this state is.
Now I'm 20 years old and living in Gainesville, Fla. I'm a junior in the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications. I live with an old friend from high school and we have a dog named Zeus.
Once I graduate from UF with a bachelor's in journalism, I want to move to Chicago and attend culinary school. With a degree in culinary arts coupled with my journalism background, I'll be able to pursue my ultimate career goal of working for Gourmet Magazine.
