Hi! My full name is Kathryn Ann Collins and I'm 21 years old. I'm originally from New Hampshire and I've lived there all
my life. I have two amazingly selfless and loving parents whom still live in N.H., and I have one brother a few years older
than me who lives in Chicago and leads a hardworking and funfilled life. I had a great childhood and miss my family dearly.
Why did I come all the way to Florida for school? (I get asked this constantly!) For a couple of very good
reasons.
Firstly, I wanted to experience a different part of the country and gain some insight on culture and lifestyles I had never
interacted with before. I also wanted to go somewhere warm and escape the cold and snowy northern weather. This photograph is a prime
example of why I left! (Although very beautiful.)
Secondly, it eased my mind knowing that my Gramma lived only an hour away from the University of Florida. Lastly, I wanted to attend a
huge school. I'm from the very small town of Hollis, N.H., and I wanted to expand my horizons and become a little fish in
a very big pond. So here I am! All in all, my experience here has been positive and extremely educational; not only in the
classroom but from life experiences as well.
Where am I going from here? Well, I love public relations and I'm working on obtaining an internship in Boston or Chicago
for the summer of 2005. Experience is key in this field and I'm ready to get to work! I'd love to end up in either city
after I graduate, so I figure I should try one out for a few months to see how I like it. Other than that - I'm just
pluggin' away at life.
