It's hard to deny the freedom that comes when you're not limited by journalistic standards. Few of these photos were posed, but becasue the subjects were friends and family, there was a level of comfort that allowed for what I think are usually better images. This is the kind of level I hope to acheive with strangers.
Also, I wish I could take credit for it, but the photo in the bottom right corner was taken by my mom.
